Ante ("we", "us") helps you reach fitness goals using financial commitment contracts. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
What we collect
Account information — your name, email address, and username when you sign up (via Apple Sign In or email).
Fitness data — workout type, duration, distance, heart rate, and timing from Apple Health (and Strava if you connect it). We only read what's needed to verify your challenge workouts.
Challenge & payment history — the challenges you create, your progress, stakes, refunds, and payouts. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
Device information — a push notification token if you enable notifications.
How we use it
To verify your workouts automatically and score your challenges.
To process stakes, refunds, and charity payouts.
To show streaks, levels, and leaderboards to you and your friends.
To send notifications you've opted into (reminders, deadlines, streak warnings).
For Premium members, to generate personalized coaching insights — your workout and challenge summary is processed by an AI service for this purpose and is not used to train AI models.
What we never do
We never sell your data to anyone.
We never share your health data with advertisers or data brokers.
We never use Apple Health data for anything other than workout verification and your own stats, as required by Apple's HealthKit guidelines.
Who we share data with
Stripe — payment processing (your payment details go directly to them).
Supabase — our database and authentication provider.
Apple — subscriptions and sign-in.
Every.org — when a missed challenge's stake is donated to a charity you chose.
Tremendous — when you redeem reward credits for a gift card, we share your name and email so they can deliver it.
Anthropic — AI coaching for Premium members (workout summaries only, no identity or payment data).
Your friends see
Your username, level, XP, streak, and completed-challenge count appear on leaderboards. Your workout details, payment history, and health data are never visible to other users.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting [email protected] — we'll complete it within 30 days, except records we're legally required to keep (like payment records).
Children
Ante is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
